| Frequently Asked Questions Q. Which of my personal details will be seen by the public? A. Only your screen name, optional company name, City and County will be published to the public. Your email address will be shared with the driver you choose to complete your job. Q. Can I change my profile? A. Yes, just click on on My Profile located within the top left menu box. CUSTOMERS Q. What is my ‘Job Type’. A. Vanload is not only for rubbish removal but also can be used to collect & deliver goods or anything else for that matter. Please choose the job type you think is most suitable. Q. How much should I offer to pay? A. How much you choose to pay for a job is completely up to you but it is important to remember that if you offer to little your job may be passed over. Q. What date should I choose? A. Choose a date by which time you want the job completed by. Your job will be listed in the ‘ending soon’ list 3 days before it expires. Once the job closing date is reached and if no one has taken the job it will be removed from the board. Q.I posted a job. What happens now? A. If a driver applies for your job you will receive an email alert telling you so. You can then go to your accounts page and click on your job. You can then choose a driver from a list of all the drivers that have applied for your job. Q. Can I edit a job I have already posted? A. Yes you can. Click on my account in the top left menu box. This will display a list of all you past and current jobs. Click on modify job to make any changes. Q. Can I delete a job I have posted? A. Yes. Select My Profile from the top left menu box. You will see a list of your jobs. Those that have expired will be listed as Closed, the active jobs will be listed as Open, Click on the Closed option to remove the job from the board. DRIVERS Q. Can I search for jobs in my area? A. Yes. You can search for jobs by town or county in the Search jobs box on the left of the page. Q. Can I be alerted everytime a new job is posted? A. Yes you can. Click on My Profile in the top left menu box. At the bottom of the screen below your details there is a notify me box. Tick the box and you will now receive an email alet everytime a new job is posted (as yet you cannot choose to be notified of jobs near you but this is planned for the future). Q. How much do I get paid? A. The customer names a price on the job. If you apply for the job then you are required to complete the job for that price. Q. How do I get paid? A. The customer is required to pay the driver directly on job completion and never through the vanload account. Q. I applied for a job. What happens now? A. Once you have applied for a job the customer will receive an email alert. They will then be able to select a driver from all those that applied for the job. If they choose you, you will receive an email containing the customers address and they will receive yours. It is then between you and the customer to arrange job completion. Q. Can I enlarge a job photo? Yes, just click on the photo and an enlarged vesion will open in a separate screen. Q. How much does this cost? A. Vanload will charge a driver 10% of the total amount offered by the customer. This is deducted from your Vanload account only if a customer chooses you to complete their job. |
